KENDARIAKTUAL.COM, WANGGUDU – Ketua Dewan Pimpinan Wilayah (DPW) Pembela Kesatuan Tanah Air Indonesia Bersatu (Pekat IB), Amril Sabara mendesak pihak Dinas Transmigrasi dan Tenaga Kerja serta ESDM Sulawesi Tenggara (Sultra), untuk segera menghentikan penambangan PT Kelompok Delapan Indonesia (KDI).
Desakan kepada dua instansi di Sulawesi Tenggara itu adalah buntut adanya kecelakaan kerja salah satu karyawan PT Putra Oloe selaku kontraktor barjing PT KDI, pada Minggu (9/2/2025) hingga meninggal dunia.
Menurut Amril Sabara, dua instansi yang ia sebutkan diminta jangan hanya berdiam diri di kantor menerima laporan dari pihak perusahaan saja.
Amril melihat, kecelakaan yang terjadi merupakan sebuah bukti ketidakmampuan pihak perusahaan dalam menerapkan K3 kepada karyawannya.
“Kita desak Dinas Tenaga Kerja dan ESDM Sultra segera mengambil sikap tegas menghentikan aktivitas penambangan PT KDI,” katanya, Selasa (11/2/2025).
Jika melihat video kecelakaan yang beredar, lanjut Amril Sabara, ketidak penerapan K3 merupakan hal yang sangat fatal dalam sebuah perusahaan.
“Persoalan perusahaan memberikan santunan kepada keluarga almarhum itu tidak bisa menggugurkan sanksi tegas dari pemerintah kepada perusahaan. Ini bicara nyawa manusia, maka akan sangat kita sayangkan jika instansi terkait tutup mata,” ujarnya.
