KENDARIAKTUAL.COM, KENDARI – Tim Spftball Putri Sulawesi Tenggara (Sultra) mencatatkan sejarah di PON XXI Aceh – Sumatera Utara (Sumut) dengan meraih medali emas.
Dibabak final Sandra Gun Cs berhasil mengalahkan juara bertahan Papua dengan akor 4 – 1, di lapangan softball Malabo Aceh, Minggu (8/9/2024).
Ketua Pengprov Perserikatan Baseball dan Softball Seluruh Indonesia (Perbasasi) Sultra Pahri Yamsul mengatakan, ini merupakan hasil yang sangat luar biasa buat tim softball Putri Sultra. Dimana mereka berhasil mencatatkan sejarah dengan meraih medali emas PON XXI.
“Setelah 2016 tim putra mencetak sejarah di Jawa Barat kali ini tim putri kembali mencatatkan sejarah dengan meraih emas di PON XXI,”jelasnya pada kendariaktual.com, Minggu (8/9/2024).
Pahri menuturkan, medali emas ini merupakan buah kerja keras dari seluruh tim yang meski dengan keterbatasan yang ada mampu meraih prestasi terbaik.
Mantan pesoftball andLan Sultra ini menambahkan, persiapan tim Softball Putri Sultra kali ini banyak sekali hambatannya dimulai TC Yang ditanggung KONI hanya 20 hari hingga peralatan pertandingan tidak disiapkan oleh KONI Sultra.
“Alhamdulillah meski menggunakan peraalatan bekas kita mampu memberikan yang terbaik buat daerah. Terima kasih juga buat masyarakat Sultra yang telah memberikan doa dan dukungan buat tim Softball Putri Sultra,”tukasnya.
